Introduction and Benefits

InfraStruXure Central Surveillance is an add-on application for InfraStruXure Central.

InfraStruXure Central Surveillance allows you to “license” specific cameras in “surveillance mode”.

You can view multiple cameras simultaneously in the live camera view.

The capture of pictures in “surveillance mode” is open ended. This means it captures pictures for as long as the motion activity continues, but only during motion.

No alerts are generated from “surveillance mode” activations. Pictures are just captured and stored for later viewing if needed.

Camera Motion vs. Surveillance

Camera Motion

• Standalone and with InfraStruXure Central
• Only captures video for a finite amount of time/frames once motion is detected
• Does not capture again until motion clears (stops) and is detected again

Surveillance

• Requires an InfraStruXure Central Device
• Captures video for as long as motion occurs
• All captured video is sent directly to InfraStruXure central and is NOT stored locally on the appliances (unless when using distributed storage)
• Easy navigation of historical clips
• Simultaneous viewing of multiple cameras
